Blood Diamond

Danny & Solomon travel together in search for the pink diamond. Solomon continues to search for his son, Dia, who was taken captive by the rebels and turned into a child soldier. He eventually finds Dia in a camp, but he doesn’t recognize his father anymore. The leader of the rebels blackmails Solomon into finding the pink diamond otherwise he’ll kill Dia and go after the rest of his family. Colonel Coetzee and his army, who are also in pursuit of the pink diamond, appear and kills almost everybody. Solomon is forced to look for the pink diamond. Danny kills Colonel Coetzee and a few of his men, but gets shot as well. Solomon finds the pink diamond he buried. He reunites with Dia after being held at gunpoint by him. Solomon, Dia and an injured Danny run away who are being pursued by the rest of Coetzee’s army. Danny eventually gives Solomon the diamond and tells them to leave him behind because he knows he’s not going to make it. He calls up Maddy in England and says a few last words to her before dying. Maddy helps Solomon reunite with his family. With his help, she publishes her story, exposing a few people who participated in importing dirty diamonds into the country. Before the credits roll, it says there are still over 200,000 child soldiers in Africa, Sierra Leone is finally at peace, and it is up to the consumer to question where diamonds come from…. Fantastic film!
