Elizabeth tricks Jack Sparrow by kissing him and then chaining him to the Black Pearl ship. She and the rest of the crew, Will Turner included (he saw what Elizabeth had done), escape and sail away right before Davy Jones’ monster, The Kraken, attacks it. Jack manages to free himself of the shackles before the Kraken appears, trapping him. He grabs a sword and charges the Kraken and gets consumed by it. The Kraken destroys the Black Pearl and drags it underwater. Elizabeth tells everybody that Jack had decided to remain on the ship. Davy Jones and his crew watched the destruction and declares Jack Sparrow’s debt fulfilled. At the end of the film, Elizabeth and the crew drink a toast to Sparrow while they are at Tia Dalma’s (Naomie Harris) place. She tells them they can still bring Jack and the Black Pearl back. If they manage to do this, they will have to go to the world’s end and will need a strong captain to steer the ship. She says she knows such a man and they hear footsteps. The man comes down the stairs and much to everybody’s astonishment, it turns out to be Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), who had died at the end of the first film. He smiles and asks where’s his ship (Black Pearl) and Jack Sparrow? He laughs and bites into an apple.
