When Bobby Sharp (Jeremy Renner) attacks Josey, she decides to take action to sue Pearson company. She hires Bill to defend her. The judge tells them she has to get 3 other women to file complaints in order for the case to go on trial. Unfortunately, none of the other women will speak up because they don’t want to lose their jobs. When Bobby is put on the stand to testify against Josey, Bill accuses him of lying until Bobby admits he saw Josey being raped by her high school teacher years ago, but did nothing to help her (the high school teacher turns out to be Josey’s son’s father). After hearing all this, Glory turns up in court to help Josey. One by one, the other women stand up to file complaints against Pearson. In the end, Josey and the others win their lawsuit and gets a nice settlement. Based on a real story, we learn that afterwards, changes were made in Union contracts to protect women in the workforce.
