Howl’s Moving Castle (aka Hauru no ugoku shiro)

Calcifer was actually a falling star that Howl had caught when he was a young boy. In exchange for his help, Howl gave him his heart, therefore, this prevents Howl from feeling love for anyone other than himself. Sophie helps get back Howl’s heart from the Witch of the Waste and returns it to him, saving him from dying. The spell on Sophie is broken. Calcifer is finally free, but decides to stay. The war is over. The castle flies away with Sophie, Howl, Markl, and the Witch of the Waste. Howl and Sophie get together and live happily ever after.
