Rodney and his friends talks Bigweld into coming back to the company and getting rid of Ratchet. Rodney, Fender, Piper, Bigweld and the other fellow local robots help defeat Ratchet and his mother, saving other robots from being scrapped. They return to Rodney’s hometown, Rivet Town, where Rodney helps his father (Stanley Tucci) quit his dishwashing job and gives him a musical instrument so that he can finally pursue his dream of becoming a musician. Everybody in town dances and celebrates while Mr. Copperbottom plays.
