Percy and Simon start bonding after their women walk out on them. Marilyn forgives Percy after he grovels and begs her forgiveness. When Simon tries to apologize to Theresa, they end up arguing and breaking up. On the day of his 25th wedding anniversary party, Percy realizes the real reason Simon had quit his job. Simon’s boss wasn’t thrilled about the idea of him marrying a black girl. Percy goes to have a talk with Simon. He gives him his blessing to marry her and brings him to the party. Simon and Theresa make up and announce their engagement.
