Ocean’s Twelve

François Toulour aka The Night Fox challenges Danny and Ocean’s Eleven to see who is the greatest thief. If they can steal the Faberge Egg before he can, he will pay off their debt owed to Terry Benedict (which amounts to $198 million including interest). Danny and his team try to pull off the heist during the daytime, but gets arrested by Europol Agent Isabel Lahiri, who had forged her boss’s name on a warrant, hoping to catch them in the act. Fortunately, they all walk away free, thanks to Linus’s mom who is also in the same business. As they drive away, Rusty’s car separates from the others and Isabel follows him. They go to a small airport where Rusty tells her that her father is still alive, her mom had lied to her about his death. He takes her to see her father who turns out to be LaMarc (Albert Finney), the greatest thief in the world and Toulour’s mentor. They share a tearful reunion…In the meantime, Toulour, who had already stolen the Faberge Egg first, thought he had won the bet. As it turns out, the egg he stole is a fake. Rusty had the real one in the backpack he was carrying. Even more surprising was the fact that Danny and Rusty had already spoken with LaMarc way before the bet was made. He told them the egg that is located in a high security spot was a fake. The real egg was being passed around in a backpack by several disguised security guards, so they were able to get to it first before Toulour could even attempt to steal it. LaMarc had offered them this info because he wanted the egg back (he had successfully stolen it before, but had to put it back) and to see his daughter, Isabel, again. Since Danny and Ocean’s Eleven won the bet, Toulour pays off the debt to Terry as promised. Reuben (Elliott Gould) promises Terry they won’t steal from him again, but in the background, we see Toulour wearing a Bellagio jacket. Closing scene ends with the whole team, including Tess and Isabel, playing cards and laughing together.
