Later, Bobby learns that Polly wasn’t his mother after all, but rather his grandmother. Turns out his sister Nina (Caroline Aaron) isn’t his sister, but his mother. He reconciles his relationship with Sandra. His health worsens and dies in 1973. During the closing credits, they state that Dodd Darin married and had 2 daughters, and Sandra Dee never remarried and remained in love with Bobby Darin.
