Jason records a conversation with Ward on a tape recorder confessing his crimes. He tells Ward he won’t kill him because Marie wouldn’t have wanted him to; Ward shoots himself; to clear his own name, he sends the tape of the confession to Pamela; Jason gets shot by Kirill and the two get involved in a horrific car chase; Kirill is seriously wounded, on the verge of death, in a car accident; Pamela arrests Kirill’s boss; Jason apologizes to the girl whose parents he had killed on his first assignment when he was an assassin; Pamela tells Jason his real birthplace and his real name is David Webb.
Personal comments about this movie? Pretty awesome movie, one of the few sequels that are better than the original. Haven’t read the books, but I’ve heard that Marie wasn’t supposed to die in this movie? Why did they kill her off? Even though Franka Potente had a minor role in this film, I noticed that her name is 2nd on the list of credits. Just an observation, I guess…
