Starring: Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron), Rachel McAdams (Regina George), Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Wieners), Amanda Seyfried (Karen Smith), Tina Fey (Ms. Norbury)
Janis (Lizzy Caplan) confesses to everyone at school that she, Cady, and Damian (Daniel Franzese) had been working together all along to break up the Plastics and ruin Regina. Furious, Regina storms out of the school gymnasium and Cady runs after her, apologizing. Regina then gets hit by a bus, but survives; Cady apologizes to Ms. Norbury for writing in the Burn Book that she sells drugs. She joins the Mathletes and helps them win by answering the final question correctly; at the Spring Fling, Cady is crowned Queen. When she goes up on stage to accept the crown, she apologizes to everybody about the Burn Book, but does not reveal that Regina was the one who wrote it. She says everybody is a winner and breaks the crown into little pieces and throws them to the other contestants and the crowd, and keeps a small piece for herself. She and Aaron (Jonathan Bennett) share a kiss on the dance floor; the new school year comes — the Plastics had broken up. Regina has recovered from her injuries and has joined a sports team to help her blow off steam. Karen is working as a weather girl. Gretchen became the new queen bee in a new clique of friends; Cady is sitting with her friends, talking and laughing. Regina walks by and they smile at each other. Cady sees new freshman Plastics walking and imagines them getting hit by a school bus.
Personal comments about this movie?
Not too bad of a teen flick. Has some witty dialogue and funny scenes. It’s ironic how Lindsay Lohan’s character, Cady, spent a lot of time destroying Regina (the meanest girl) only to become just like her. Though I don’t see how someone could survive getting hit by a bus…
