Starring: Jim Carrey (Joel Barish), Kate Winslet (Clementine Kruczynski), Elijah Wood (Patrick), Mark Ruffalo (Stan), Kirsten Dunst (Mary), Tom Wilkinson (Dr. Howard Mierzwiak)
Clementine has her memories of Joel erased from her mind. Joel decides to erase memories of her also, but during the erasing process, he can’t help remembering all the good times they’ve had together. He changes his mind and tries to stop the erasing procedure, but cannot wake up. After the procedure, Joel and Clementine meet again (as we saw from the beginning of the movie) and feel a connection. Mary finds out she once had an affair with Dr. Howard Mierzwiak, but had her memories of that erased by him. She quits her job and sends all of the patients their files. When Joel and Clementine receive the files, they learn that they already had a relationship, but had suffered a bad break-up. Despite all of this, they decide to give their relationship another try.
Personal comments about this movie? AWESOME movie! Definitely one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. I loved the whole concept of the movie about having your memories erased. Wouldn’t we all love to have the bad memories erased from our brains? But, then how could we ever appreciate the good memories without the bad? That’s how Joel must have felt in the movie. Even though his relationship with Clementine ended badly, he mostly thought about the good times they had together.
