Mac did not tell Virginia that the FBI had already caught him 2 years ago and have been using him to get information in exchange for a lighter sentence when he gets prosecuted. Cruz had been using him to get to her; Thibadeaux is actually Mac’s FBI keeper; Mac and Virginia outsmarts the FBI and escapes from the train platform by “vanishing” into thin air along with the stolen money.
